Un infinito

«Un Infinito» is a creative experiment led by Professor Guido Scarabottolo that explores the fascinating interplay between image and text. In the initial phase, we created 15 illustrations on a self-chosen theme before Professor Scarabottolo introduced us to the poem «L’Infinito» by Giacomo Leopardi. Each stanza of this significant poem was paired with an illustration. My works depict various animal worlds through which a human figure wanders. This figure transforms into a different hybrid creature on each page, reflecting the fluid boundaries between human and animal. I chose the technique of «digital linocut», in which I proceed digitally in the same way as with traditional linocut; removing the white areas from a coloured surface. 2024 | ISIA Urbino
